NAPA Valley (APC) Fly-in, November 8-11, 2002
Join the fun and fellowship in beautiful Northern California.  Enjoy gourmet dining and fine wine!  
Here is our final schedule.  Registration is closed!
Note there are changes to the restaurants and schedule.  The idea of this tour is to start from Napa in the south and work our way north to Santa Rosa.  Driving direction and address are on the web links.  Just click on the italicized name below.

Friday, November 8
10am-11am:  Arrive Napa Airport.  Enjoy your independent air-tour of the Napa & Sonoma Valley before landing at Napa Airport (APC). Check NOTAMS for possible balloon operations.  Meet at the Bridgeford Flying Service lounge.  Rental cars are available with advance booking thru Bridgeford at 800-229-6272.
12 noon:  Lunch at 
Copia in Napa.  You have the option of a simple deli lunch at the American Market Cafe or fine dining at Julia's Kitchen.  This will be followed by a tour of the Copia grounds.
~3:30pm: 
Check-in at Napa Valley Railway Inn, Yountville.  The Inn is located adjacent to the Vintage 1870  with numerous shops and restaurants.
~5:00pm:  Afternoon visit to Domain Chandon or free time exploring lovely Yountville and other area.
8:00pm:  Dinner at Brix, Yountville.

Saturday, November 9  
9am: Visit to the Napa Valley Museum in Yountville or Goosecross Cellars for an accelerated wine course from 11am to 12:30pm.  
Lunch:  on your own
1pm:  Robert Mondavi Winery tour, also available at 2pm.
3:30pm:  Niebaum Coppola Winery, in the Inglenook Chateau that houses a Centennial Museum featuring artifacts from Inglenook's early days and memorabilia from many of Director Francis Ford Coppola's films.
5:15pm:  We dine at The Wine Spectator Greystone Restaurant at the Culinary Institute of America in St. Helena.  We will be joined by fellow Motorcycling Rotarians (IFMR) at this event.

Sunday, November 10 
Morning: Your choice of brunch on the Winetrain (please book on your own) or a leisurely drive up the Silverado Trail east of Hwy 29 from Yountville to Calistoga.   Visit Sterling Vineyards and ride their gondola up the hillside for a spectacular view of the Valley and Clos Pegasa Vinyard nearby.  Perhaps visit the Petrified Forest in Calistoga, but definitely the Charles Schulz Museum in Santa Rosa.  
5pm:  We will join Flying Rotarians Larry and Marlyn McClaskey at their home for BBQ and an evening of great fellowship.  Due to limited space, this event available only to registered guests.

There will be free time for your own activities, such as browsing antique stores, or just enjoy the beauty of the Valley.  For those who wish to breakaway from the constant feast, there are many restaurants and cafes near the Railway Inn.

Monday, November 11 (Veteran's Day - Honoring our Servicemen worldwide)
